I will be going through my highlighting and contouring routine. Before we start it is crucial to define your face shape, I have included a chart below to make it easier to pinpoint the areas that you will be contouring and highlighting.
On the picture featured below I have broken down the products I use and the steps I use them in.
I start by priming my face with Chanel’s “La blanc De Chanel” I found it gives my face an illuminating base before I apply my foundation.
I then use my Sigma F80 Kabuki brush to apply my “Chanel Vitalumiere foundation”. Being that this is an oil base foundation I would not recommend this specific foundation for oily combination skin.
Once my foundation is looking flawless I then Highlight the highpoint’s of my face. The Products I use to Highlight my face is Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat to cancel out my dark circles and then I use Mac Cosmetics Prep and Prime Highlighter in “lightboost” to give my under eyes a bright look.
Once I have highlighted my face I move on to the “tricky bit” which is Contouring. For contouring I use two Products, one cream base which is “Bobbi Brown Foundation stick” and one powder base product to set my contour, which is “Mac Cosmetics Medium Tan Mineralise powder”.
I love the consistency of the powder it doesn’t make my face orange and streaky and in many cases I substitute it for a matt bronzer.
As you can see I use my NARS brush to contour, I LOVEEEE this brush it really carves out your cheek bones and gives you a natural contour.
So in the last step of my routine I firstly set my face with setting powder, I haven’t Included my setting powders there as I move back and forth between the “Ben Nye Banana Powder” and “Laura Mercier Pressed Setting Powder” so I would use which ever one you are most comfortable with. what ever you do DO NOT FORGET TO SET YOUR CONCEALED/ HIGHLIGHTED AREAS, it will prevent creasing ;).
To finish off my make-up and my highlight and give it that youthful glow, I adore the “The Balms Mary-Loumanizer” It’s a beautiful champagne shimmer and will make your highlighted areas pop.
To sum up this is my highlight and contour routine, If you have more questions drop me a comment.
